Case Study: Finding Evil in Sassafras. Deconstruction - Myths in Religion and Politics. Truth-seeking Adds. Paul; Jesus issues

Case Study
How They Found Evil In Sassafras

Defend by Deconstruction

Deconstruction. This is the idea that, by removing the extraneous, the add-on appendages, a basic truth may emerge. In cartoons, think of the operating amphitheater, where the surgeon announces, "And now, with a firm twist, I will remove his attorney." And holds up a shin with ankle and shoe attached. See Deconstruction at ://www.sou.edu/English/Hedges/Sodashop/RCenter/Theory/Howto/decon.htm/.

Find the process, taken seriously, at://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deconstruction/.

Read the essay by James Faulconer, Deconstruction, at http://jamesfaulconer.byu.edu/deconstr.htm/. He decries use of the term as merely a tearing down, a destroying. We agree. The process is paring away in order to get at the core. It is an attitude, undertaken with wonder and humiliation at what is unearthed. This gets complex. Give it time. Straightforward texts still have play in them - the deconstructionist wants to find out what kinds, by going back to origins. Question the thesis of everything. Jacques Derrida. 1930-2004. Deconstruction as a way of criticizing, the critique starts here. See ://plato.stanford.edu/entries/derrida/A study in itself.

Removing the extraneous. Presumably, after the extraction of the foreign matter the patient will be his old better self again. Healthy.

Relevance: What if we all extracted later accretions from original mandates as claimed by Groups of every kind? Is this a way to get to original intent.

Original intent, find the first words. Scrape off the barnacles, coral growing and hardening as it gives habitat to new growths, but hides what was in the first place in there. See Sassafras, The Thicket: deconstruction, Wilkerson post.

Religion.

With a firm twist, what if we extract miraculous birth? Find instead circumstances quite ordinary. See Germany Road Ways, Pantera post. With a firm twist, what if we extract Paul? Why is there more of Paul in the New Testament than Jesus? Jesus! Scholarship and archeology in religious dogma. The misuse of fact then to build a case.

Politics.

With a firm twist, what if we extract disinformation, in order to find what was known as true, from what was put out as true. The pre-war misuse of intelligence - deconstruct the disinformation spreaders, lobbyists, and those getting financial rewards from making laws?

Sassafras.

What was it used for. Did it work in the proper doses. Finding evil later in it. Why ban it when only huge doses create any bad effect, as with anything else?
